A Coaster Cam lets you take a ride on your roller coaster (or any other ride in your park) once you’re done. Roller coasters, transportation rides, flume rides and others can be designed from the ground up (though the game also includes plenty of pre-made designs). Many rides and amusements are pre-packaged: find a spot of land in your park big enough to build it and have enough money in the bank, and presto, it appears. Tycoon level can be a bit trickier you may have to pay back a bank loan or have rides that hit certain excitement levels. Reaching the apprentice goal is usually pretty easy-attract a certain number of customers, hit revenue goals, or add rides the customers want. ![]() Park visitors (virtual people called Peeps) will want to eat and drink, spend money on souvenirs and games of chance, and, most of all, have fun on rides and amusements.Ī career mode focuses on turning around the fortunes of ailing or small parks, with three sets of objectives (Apprentice, Entrepreneur, and Tycoon) that must be met to win each scenario. You’re responsible for the layout of the park, the rides, and everything that happens, including maintenance and upkeep. This has made me re-think phone games.RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 puts you in charge of an amusement park. It plays excellent on the iPhone 6 and even better on the iPad's screen. Each guest has unique thoughts and desires so be sure to talk to each of them as well. You control the cost of ketchup and when to train or fire your employees. You control the price of each ride, each booth, or the entrance fee to your park. The career mode is the full 20+ stages, and there is a sandbox mode as well. If I left something out, trust me, it's in the game. It's all here - the tilt of the track, the height markers, block break speed, camera locations, tunnels, choosing how many cars per train, track color, path design- wait time for the cars, price of the ride, and fixing and repairing the ride. You can have a simple roller coaster built in 20 minutes. It runs silky smooth even when moving your head around to view people eating cotton candy while zooming through a loop on a roller coaster. The dev of this game is the original developer, not Atari. I've had an iPhone since before the App Store was available, and I can finally say the quality of games has reached the PC quality mark. TLDR: Best coaster game on the AppStore, but needs a bug fix so that old sandbox mode parks don’t delete themselves after creating a new park. I still really like the game, but PLEASE FIX THIS BUG!!! It’s super annoying and is a bad glitch that happens on all the devices I’ve tried to play this on. This means you can’t keep adding onto your parks and have to fully replace them every once in a while. You can create a new park, and not delete the old one, and when you go back into the save menu, your new park duplicates it self over the old one. There is one main problem that is really annoying though, which is that when you have a saved sandbox mode park, and you want to create a new park, (frame rate tends to slow down a lot when you have more than 10-13 big roller coasters and then the the game starts saying the park is full and it stops you from adding any more rides or shops) the old one gets replaced. This means the rollercoasters and rides aren’t up to date with the new ones coming out, and there are a few minor bugs that don’t cause many issues for me. ![]() The main problem with RCT3 is that is hasn’t had an update for years. I mainly play sandbox mode, but there is also a pretty good career mode where you complete objectives to make the parks profitable. It has many rides and coasters, and it also has many terrain and path options. This is a very good mobile Amusement Park game, I think it’s the best on the App Store currently.
